Day 1: Unlock your Potential as a Performer and Public Speaker

Saturday 20th September | 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Before you can play a role, you must connect with your body and instincts.
What to Expect:
  • Train with traditional Commedia dell’Arte masks
  • Wake up your body, voice, and energy for the stage
  • Explore mask traditions from Bali, Africa, Brazil & Mongolia
  • Turn instinct into stage-ready techniques
  • Discover how masks shaped theatre from Shakespeare to Cirque du Soleil
You’ll Learn To:
  • Build stage presence through rhythm and movement
  • Use masks as tools of transformation and stage identity
  • Connect physical impulse with voice, space, and symbolic meaning

Day 2: The Art of Comedy and The Power of Laughter

Sunday 21st September | 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Comedy is more than just jokes—it’s a powerful way to express emotions. Through voice, rhythm, and full-body expression, you'll connect with comic archetypes and unlock your unique humor.
What to Expect:
  • Full-body training with voice, movement, and space
  • The 9 Powers of Laughter & comic styles
  • Comedy traditions from Shakespeare to TikTok
  • Tools to boost creativity, presence, and self-awareness
  • A fun, safe space for playful exploration
What You’ll Learn:
  • Build presence through rhythm and coordination
  • Understand the emotional roots of laughter
  • Practice a variety of comedy techniques
  • Use voice and body expressively
  • Explore what makes us laugh—and why
Both workshops are in Italian with English translation and open to actors, dancers, performers, storytellers, speakers, and curious minds.

About Vania Castelfranchi

Maestro Vania Castelfranchi from Rome, Italy, is an actor, director, and teacher trained at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome. He leads workshops across Europe and teaches Theatre and Philosophy at the University of Tor Vergata and voice at LUMSA University and Marcos y Marcos Academy.
