Tinky Winky Live - Dave Thompson

Dave Thompson is best-known for having been the actor in the Tinky Winky costume in the world famous TV show 'Teletubbies’. He has also performed his stand-up comedy act in forty-nine countries, and several cruise ships. Known for his one-liners and absurd persona, Dave has written material for many other comics, including Harry Hill, Omid Djalili, and Stewart Lee.

In his solo comedy show, David reveals secrets from the Teletubbies set, and answers questions like “Was it Hot in the Costume?’

Dave has appeared in many episodes of 'Harry Hill's TV Burp', 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks', nine episodes of Al Murray's sitcom on Sky - 'Time Gentlemen Please', the feature films 'Maybe Baby' written and directed by Ben Elton, 'Harry Hill - The Movie', 'Huge', directed by Ben Miller, and 'I Want Candy' starring Carmen Electra.

Since 2021 he’s had speaking parts in 'The Munsters', a Hollywood feature film, ’The Last Kingdom’ on Netflix, and three American drama series - ‘The Continental’, 'Fallen', and 'The Pendragon Cycle'.  He plays a Royalist officer in the new drama series 'Royal Kill List' (started 12th March, Sky History), and is in Harry Hill's new independent film 'The Last Caveman'.
