Experience another unexpected cinematic journeys!
The seventh edition of the IRMF will bring to Pilsen almost forty films of the road movie genre from all over the world.
Four days full of adventure, discoveries, and personal transformations await you. Join us to experience stories where filmmakers from around the world bring the theme of the journey to life through the fates of their movie heroes. You’ll discover distant corners as well as familiar places, diverse cultures, and new inspiration for your own travels.
What can you look forward to this year?
- Several dozen Czech and foreign road movies
- Wednesday's opening ceremony, accompanied by the emotive queer drama Bridges, presented in its Czech advance premiere
- A great musical programme, including the Anděl Award winners Kalle and HRTL
- BE EQUAL! block - films responding to current social issues
- Best road movie shorts
- The 1922 silent classic The Vampire of Nosferatu, with live accompaniment by musician Hjörtur
- Morning screening of the animated road movie Finding Nemo
- Closing ceremony and announcement of the winners of the competition categories, accompanied by the road movie classic Thelma and Louise
- Full of other films screened at prestigious European festivals
- Saturday morning screening of the comedy Hundreds of Beavers accompanied by a great breakfast
- A rich supporting programme - discussions, concerts, DJs and afterparties
