☼Liminal Disco☼

Explores what it means to inhabit spaces that are not meant for you. Mimicking how skate culture is a culture that creates its own space and reality. Mixing Genres and re-contextualizing the world it exists in. With the first iterations of this project we will create a series of happenings around the topic of skate culture, liminal spaces, and community. A meeting of worlds where different people, artists, genres meet and try to begin a conversation. The scenography is misleading, a mysterious space that then transforms into a one of a kind experience. As an audience member you’re not 100% certain what you will expect but. The performance provides a mix of cabaret, disco, rave and theatre stage where all of these worlds present themselves in a land of uninhibited fantasy. When the performance is over and the lights shift you realize that the liminal space was created by all the participants showcasing how these communities, unspoken spaces and groups can make a larger change when they take the time to meet together
