Kocouři paní Figgové is a podcast for everyone who loves the world of Harry Potter, whether they read the books over and over again or just have them stored fondly in their memory. In each episode, Daniel Zezula, musician, sound engineer, and devoted Potterhead, chats with literary scholar and university professor David Jirsa, who, while he may not have a wand under his pillow, approaches the wizarding world with genuine interest and critical distance.
Each week, together, they dissect about half a chapter from the books, whether it be plot, symbolism, translations or mistakes in the text. The episodes often slip into personal memories, cultural contexts, and unexpected topics; just as it should be when two friends talk about a favorite
book.
If you want to revisit Hogwarts while expanding your horizons, Mrs Figg's Cats will take you back with humour, insight and a good dose of magic.
