The Beer/Vodka Frontier. How do you drink in the East and what does it say about the political system there?
Tell me what you're drinking and I'll tell you where you're from in the East and how you think about the world, politics, and public space. Does that sound like divination from a beer saddle to you (vodka doesn't have a saddle)? Josef Pazderka and Ondřej Soukup from the podcast Na Východ!, which is produced on ČRo Plus, will show you that alcohol has its own geographical borders in the post-Soviet space and in a specific way it seeps into the highest levels of politics. Special guest: Alexander Mitrofanov.
The authors of the podcast appear without remuneration and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Daniel Aniz Fund for aspiring foreign reporters after expenses.
