The sixth edition of the International Road Movie Festival will present 38 films of the road movie genre from all over the world.
Enjoy an unexpected cinematic journey. Be swept away by stories full of adventure, discovery and personal transformation. Discover distant corners and familiar places, diverse cultures and fresh inspiration. Live the road movie.
What can you look forward to this year?
- Wednesday warm-up with the legendary classic Treasure of the Silver Lake, screened from the original 35mm print.
- Opening night with a screening of Cirk La Putyka’s biggest and most personal project - The Journeys.
- The 1926 silent road movie The General, with live accompaniment by DJ and musician Hjörtur.
- Saturday’s closing and awards ceremony, followed by the cult film Rain Man starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.
- Czech documentary road movie At Full Throttle about fast cars and school crushes.
- A selection of the best road movie shorts, including student ones from Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU).
- Plenty of other movies screened at prestigious European festivals, including the Finnish action flick Sisu.
- A packed accompanying programme - discussions, concerts, DJs and afterparties.
