Laughing Stones English Comedy is proud to present an evening of laughs and lunacy at BarCafe Elephant on Saturday 22nd April.

The event will be hosted by the legendary Scott Lee Hansen, who has been a stand up comic for far too long.

He was the first and hopefully won’t be the last English stand up comic in The Czech Republic. His first show “The Angličan” in 2007 was performed totally in mangled Czech.

After 40 shows Scott realised he could also be funny in English and has never looked back (unless there’s a sudden commotion behind him).

His musings are amusing and the jokes Puntastic.

Scott is also Czech’s Doctor Who Geek Extra-ordinaire performing geek related comedy to crowds of women dressed as men and and men dressed in tin foil.

Backing him up in the first half of the show are;

Damien Smethurst, who started doing comedy in Prague after accidentally going to a dreadful show and drunkenly thinking he could do better.

He started his own comedy night off the back of this drunken decision, but every time he put on a show the country went into Covid Lockdown a week later. So he ran away and started a comedy night in Brno instead.

Whether he actually can do better then the awful comedians he saw at that one bad show in Prague or not is still unclear, but at least the country doesn't go into lockdown when he gets on stage now!

Daniel Sedlák, a comedian from Czech Republic. Knowing that life failures can create some great comedy, listening to him can bring you laughter as well as a better feeling about your own life.

All of this will be just to get people primed for the main event, which is the spectacular Erin Crouch.

Erin is an American comedian who lives in Germany because she craves disapproval.

She has hosted, featured and performed at the Manchester Women in Comedy Festival (2021), Boom Chicago comedy festival in Amsterdam, Tallinn Fringe Festival in Estonia (2022) and Utrecht Comedy Festival (2023).

In conjunction with the US Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz, she produces a monthly comedy showcase on the military base and has toured Budapest, Istanbul and Prague doing English comedy in 2022.

She recently opened for Enissa Amani, the first German woman comedian to have a Netflix special, and this will be her first visit to Brno!

TICKETS: The price for a ticket is 150czk in advance, or 200czk on the door! Tickets are available online until 6pm on April 21st, or on the door at the venue from 7pm on April 22nd
